      Apart from Sink/source (when connected on one side only) and in a valve, is there any way of specifying mass flow rate?
      Also, if DELM is given a negative value, does it make any difference? I did not find any difference when DELM is given a positive or negative value in the simulations I did. Is the software smart enough to decide that DELM can only be positive?

      Yes, these are the only ways to specify a mass flow rate. And, yes, when there is source (sink/source with just one outgoing pipe), then the software always considers DELM as an incoming stream, regardless of whether it is a given negative value.
